Cinnamon candy apples are a sweet and crunchy treat that can be enjoyed on their own or as an addition to salads. They are made by coating apple slices in a mixture of cinnamon, sugar and melted candy melts, and then baking them in the oven until crispy. The apples retain their tartness while the coating caramelizes, creating a delicious balance of flavors. Cinnamon candy apples can be made with any type of apple, but Granny Smith and Honeycrisp are popular choices due to their firm texture. The salad dressing is usually made with a combination of mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar and spices, such as cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.

EASY CARAMEL APPLE SALAD WITH CINNAMON

Easy Caramel Apple Salad with Cinnamon image

Only 4 to 5 ingredients. Only takes 5 to 10 minutes to make. You can also make it with sugar-free whipped topping and sugar-free candy bars (great for diabetics). I like to use a combination of red, green, and golden apples in the summer mostly because the different colors are pretty. I also use just red and green apples for a Christmas dessert. You can use any combination of your favorite apples.
