2 cups white sugar
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup butter
½ cup shortening
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup hot strongly brewed coffee
2 eggs
½ cup buttermilk
½ cup butter
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ cup milk
3 ½ cups confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 11x17 1/2-inch jelly roll pan. Combine white sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl.

2 teaspoons vanilla
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Set oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
