CREAMY CREAM OF WHEAT CEREAL WITH MAPLE SYRUP AND BANANAS

Creamy Cream of Wheat Cereal With Maple Syrup and Bananas image

Kids of all ages enjoy this...my DH loves this in the cooler months, and I could eat the whole thing myself, it is that good! Make certain to use a heavy-bottomed saucepan to make this, as it will scorch easily, or it also can be made in the microwave, but you will have to keep taking it out to stir it. You can also use pancake syrup in place of the maple syrup (store-bought or homemade). If you are a Cream of Wheat fan, then this is a recipe you are certain to enjoy!

Tips for Making Creamy Cream of Wheat Cereal with Maple Syrup and Bananas

  • Use fresh bananas. Fresh bananas will give your cereal the best flavor. If you don't have fresh bananas on hand, you can use frozen bananas that have been thawed.
  • Use pure maple syrup. Pure maple syrup is the best choice for this recipe. It has a rich, delicious flavor that will complement the cream of wheat and bananas perfectly.
  • Don't overcook the cream of wheat. Cream of wheat is a quick-cooking cereal, so it's important not to overcook it. Overcooked cream of wheat will be mushy and bland.
  • Serve the cream of wheat immediately. Cream of wheat is best served immediately after it's cooked. If you let it sit for too long, it will start to thicken and become clumpy.
  • Add your favorite toppings. In addition to maple syrup and bananas, you can add other toppings to your cream of wheat, such as brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, or chopped nuts.

Conclusion

Cream of wheat cereal with maple syrup and bananas is a delicious, nutritious breakfast that's perfect for busy mornings. It's easy to make and can be customized to your liking. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy breakfast, give this recipe a try!
