Part crunchy, part chewy, all mouth watering. It is hard to keep these from disappearing. I use organic flaked coconut for a different texture but regular shredded coconut works well too.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate chips. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your cookies. Semi-sweet chocolate chips are a good all-purpose choice, but you can also use dark chocolate chips for a richer flavor or milk chocolate chips for a sweeter cookie.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough. Mix the dough just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at a high temperature. This will help the cookies develop a crispy exterior and a chewy interior.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before eating them. This will allow the flavors to develop and the cookies to set properly.
  • Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature. They will keep for up to a week.

Conclusion:

These chocolate chip cookies are a classic for a reason. They're quick and easy to make, and they're always a hit with kids and adults alike.
