  • Measure your ingredients accurately: Baking is a science, so it's important to measure your ingredients accurately. Use a kitchen scale for the most precise results.
  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your bread will taste. Look for fresh, organic ingredients whenever possible.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough can make it tough and dense. Mix the dough just until it comes together, then stop.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place: The dough needs a warm place to rise in order to double in size. A warm oven or a sunny spot on the counter are both good options.
  • Bake the bread at the right temperature: The temperature of your oven will affect the way the bread bakes. Be sure to preheat your oven to the correct temperature before baking the bread.
  • Don't overbake the bread: Overbaking the bread can make it dry and crumbly. Bake the bread just until it is golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
