Time 50m

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/4 tsp salt
3 TBSP milk
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
10 oz bag mini marshmallows
3 Tbsp butter (softened)
1/4 cup chocolate chips
2 Tbsp milk
1 cup powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Whisk together sugar and butter.
  • Add eggs, vanilla, cocoa powder, and milk and whisk until smooth.
  • Stir in flour, salt, and mini chocolate chips, stirring until flour is well incorporated.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, until brownies are set. Remove from oven.
  • Once brownies are cooked, remove from oven and spread with marshmallows. Do your best to get them even, but it doesn't have to be perfect- you're going to spread it around a bit afterwards. Return to the oven for about 3 minutes- until marshmallows begin to puff. (You don't want the marshmallows to brown so keep a close eye on them.)
  • Take brownies out of the oven. Cool for about 10-15 minutes. Make the frosting.

Tips:

  • Ensure your butter and eggs are at room temperature before starting. This will make mixing easier and ensure your brownies are smooth and creamy.
  • Do not overmix the batter. Overmixing can result in tough, dense brownies. Mix just until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Use a high-quality cocoa powder for the best flavor. A good cocoa powder will make a big difference in the overall taste of your brownies.
  • Do not overbake the brownies. Overbaking will result in dry, crumbly brownies. Bake just until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting them. This will help them set properly and prevent them from crumbling.
  • Top the brownies with your favorite toppings, such as chocolate chips, nuts, or frosting, before serving.

Conclusion:

This recipe is a classic for a reason - it's simple to make, delicious, and loved by everyone. The addition of marshmallows takes these brownies to the next level, making them extra gooey and decadent. Whether you're a chocolate lover or just looking for a sweet treat, these Deluxe Marshmallow Brownies are sure to satisfy your cravings.
