Tips:

  • Choose the right fish. Not all fish are suitable for the dishwasher. Some fish, such as salmon and trout, are too delicate and may fall apart during the wash cycle. Other fish, such as cod and tilapia, are more sturdy and can withstand the heat and water pressure.
  • Prepare the fish properly. Before placing the fish in the dishwasher, rinse it thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Pat the fish dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • Season the fish. Season the fish with your favorite herbs, spices, and seasonings. You can also add a drizzle of olive oil or melted butter to help keep the fish moist.
  • Wrap the fish in foil. Wrap the seasoned fish tightly in aluminum foil. This will help to keep the fish from drying out during the wash cycle.
  • Place the fish in the dishwasher. Place the foil-wrapped fish on the top rack of the dishwasher. Make sure that the fish is not touching any other dishes or utensils.
  • Select the right wash cycle. Choose a gentle wash cycle with low water pressure and a low temperature setting. This will help to prevent the fish from overcooking.
  • Start the dishwasher. Start the dishwasher and let it run through the complete cycle.
  • Check the fish. Once the dishwasher cycle is complete, open the dishwasher and check the fish. The fish should be cooked through and flaky. If the fish is not cooked through, you can place it back in the dishwasher for another cycle.
