Categories     Low Cholesterol

Time 10m

Yield 4 cups

Number Of Ingredients 9

3 cups soy sauce (kikkoman)
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce (lea & perrins)
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 dash paprika
1 dash ground pepper

Steps:

  • Using a 1 quart container Whisk all ingredients together until well blended. Seal well and all should last refrigerated 1-2 months.
  • Refrigerate.

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Steak: Select a steak with good marbling, such as ribeye, strip loin, or tenderloin, for a more flavorful and tender result.
  • Tenderize the Steak: For tougher cuts of steak, consider using a meat tenderizer or marinating it for several hours to help break down the fibers and make it more tender.
  • Use Fresh Ingredients: Always use fresh herbs, spices, and citrus juices for the best flavor. Avoid using pre-packaged or dried ingredients whenever possible.
  • Don't Overcrowd the Pan: When searing the steak, make sure not to overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the steak from cooking evenly and can result in a steamed rather than seared texture.
  • Let the Steak Rest: After cooking the steak, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, resulting in a more tender and flavorful piece of meat.

Conclusion:

Doreen's steak marinade recipes offer a variety of options to create flavorful and tender steaks. Whether you prefer a simple marinade with a few key ingredients or a more complex blend of herbs, spices, and citrus, there's a recipe here to suit your taste. Remember to choose a high-quality steak, tenderize it if necessary, and use fresh ingredients for the best results. With proper preparation and cooking techniques, you can create a delicious and satisfying steak dinner that will impress your family and friends.
