BACON LETTUCE TOMATO (BLT) DIP-REALLY EASY & THE BEST YOU'LL
I can never make enough of this dip. This receipe is a new twist on the original by using cream cheese instead of sour cream. You cant go wrong! This was given to me by a friend but not sure why it's called BLT dip when there is no lettuce in it--don't worry, you'll wont miss it!

Steps:
- Mix mayo and cream cheese.
- Add remaining ingredients. I prefer to make this the night before.
- Serve with crackers-I think this tastes best with Ritz.
EASY BLT DIP
Although the original of this recipe was found in the Taste of Home Summer Appetizers, 2009, it has been tweaked a bit for our personal tastes. Preparation time does not include chilling the mixed dip. Apparently the website doesn't recognize it, but I DO use Hormel Real Bacon PIECES in this recipe, not bacon bits! There is a difference!

Tips:
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the dip will taste. Use ripe tomatoes, crispy bacon, and fresh lettuce.
- Don't overcook the bacon: Overcooked bacon will be tough and chewy. Cook it until it is just crispy.
- Chop the ingredients evenly: This will help to ensure that the dip is evenly flavored.
- Use a good quality mayonnaise: The mayonnaise is the base of the dip, so it's important to use a good quality one. Look for a mayonnaise that is made with real eggs and oil.
- Season the dip to taste: Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. You can also add other herbs and spices, such as dill, chives, or paprika.
- Serve the dip chilled: This will help to keep the ingredients fresh and crisp.
- Serve the dip with a variety of dippers: Crackers, chips, vegetables, and bread are all great options.
Conclusion:
BLT dip is a classic party appetizer that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. It's a great way to use up leftover bacon and tomatoes, and it's perfect for any occasion. With its creamy, tangy, and smoky flavor, BLT dip is sure to be a hit at your next gathering.
