Tips:
- Prep your ingredients beforehand: Chop your vegetables, mince your garlic, and measure out your spices before you start cooking. This will make the cooking process go much smoother and faster.
- Use good quality ingredients: The better the ingredients you use, the better your soup will taste. So use fresh vegetables, flavorful spices, and a rich, flavorful broth.
- Don't be afraid to experiment: There are endless variations of this soup, so feel free to add or omit ingredients to suit your own taste. For example, you could add a dollop of Greek yogurt or sour cream for a creamy texture, or a pinch of cayenne pepper for a bit of heat.
- Be patient: This soup is best when it has time to simmer and develop its flavors. So don't rush the process. Let it simmer for at least 30 minutes, or even longer if you have time.
