1 (15.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 cup water
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
2 cups powdered sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 (8 ounce) package Neufchatel cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease two 9-inch cake pans.

Tips:

  • Use fresh pumpkin puree for the best flavor. Canned pumpkin puree can also be used, but it may not be as flavorful.
  • Make sure to drain the pumpkin puree well before using it in the recipe. This will help to prevent the pie from being too wet.
  • Use a combination of spices to create a flavorful pumpkin pie. Some common spices used in pumpkin pie include cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice.
  • Don't overbeat the eggs when making the filling. Overbeaten eggs can make the pie tough.
  • Bake the pie until the center is set. The pie should not be jiggly in the center when it is done.
  • Let the pie cool completely before serving. This will help the pie to set and the flavors to develop.

Conclusion:

Pumpkin pie is a classic fall dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its rich, creamy filling and flaky crust, pumpkin pie is the perfect way to celebrate the season. Whether you are making it for a holiday gathering or just for a special treat, pumpkin pie is sure to be a hit.
