Tips:

  • Choose the freshest green beans you can find. Fresh beans will have a vibrant green color and be crisp and tender. Avoid beans that are wilted or have brown spots.
  • Don't overcook the beans. Green beans should be cooked just until they are tender-crisp. Overcooked beans will be mushy and lose their flavor.
  • Use high-quality olive oil. Extra virgin olive oil is the best choice for this recipe. It has a rich flavor that will enhance the taste of the beans.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different herbs and spices. Rosemary and lemon are a classic combination, but you could also try using thyme, basil, or oregano. You could also add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
  • Serve the bean puree immediately. This dish is best served fresh. The beans will lose their flavor and texture if they are allowed to sit for too long.

Conclusion:

This fricos recipe with rosemary-lemon bean puree is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. The crispy fricos add a nice textural contrast to the creamy bean puree, and the rosemary and lemon add a bright and flavorful touch. This dish is sure to be a hit with your friends and family!
