This recipe is from a Church library book "Mud Pie Annie" (by Sue Buchanan and Dana Shafer) that my daughter checked out. We made this recipe together as a treat for daddy who was at work.

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup cocoa
1/4 lb margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups oatmeal (instant)

Steps:

  • Mix first 6 ingredients in a sauce pan and cook until it boils.
  • Boil for 1-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add peanut butter and oatmeal. Drop by teaspoonfuls on to wax paper.

2/3 cup 2% milk
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1/2 cup butter, cubed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup white baking chips
1 teaspoon shortening

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine the first five ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook and stir 3 minutes., Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter and vanilla until blended. 1 cup flaked coconut
1/4 cup baking cocoa
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 tablespoons water
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Candy decorations, if desired

Ingredients
1/4 cup butter or coconut oil
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 tablespoons almond milk, unsweetened
1/4 cup Truvia
1/4 cup defatted peanut flour
2 tablespoons water
dash sea salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup rolled oats OR use 1 cup coconut (shredded or chips) OR us 1/2 cup rolled oats and 1/2 cup coconut (shredded or chips)

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter or coconut oil, cocoa, almond milk, (Truvia or THM sweetner of choice), defatted peanut flour, water, and sea salt.
