JULIA'S FAMOUS SPICY BARBECUE SAUCE
This is a combination of different recipes I have tried over the past couple of years, keeping the elements I like the most. Everyone asks for the recipe so here it is! I like a spicy sauce. It's not too hot, but not sweet like most sauces out there. I'm still playing around with it, but I like how its going so far! ** update ** I have decided that perhaps pureeing the onions and garlic might be beneficial because most barbecue sauces don't have chunks of onion and garlic! I will work to change test and change this soon (3/2/10)

Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make a big difference in the taste of your barbecue sauce. Look for ripe tomatoes, sweet onions, and flavorful spices.
- Don't be afraid to experiment: There are endless possibilities when it comes to making barbecue sauce. Try different combinations of spices, fruits, and vegetables to find a flavor that you love.
- Let the sauce simmer: Simmering the sauce allows the flavors to meld and develop. The longer you simmer the sauce, the more flavorful it will be.
- Taste the sauce as you go: Adjust the seasonings to your liking. If the sauce is too sweet, add a little spice. If it's too spicy, add a little sweetness.
- Use the sauce on everything: Barbecue sauce is not just for grilled meats. Try it on chicken, fish, vegetables, or even tofu. You can also use it as a marinade, dipping sauce, or condiment.
Conclusion:
Making your own barbecue sauce is a great way to control the ingredients and flavor. With a little experimentation, you can create a sauce that is perfect for your taste. So fire up the grill and get saucy!
