Tips:

  • Use fresh salmon: Fresh salmon has a brighter color and firmer texture than frozen salmon. If using frozen salmon, thaw it completely before cooking.
  • Choose the right grill: A gas grill is the best choice for grilling salmon, as it provides even heat and can be easily controlled. If using a charcoal grill, make sure the coals are hot and evenly distributed before grilling the salmon.
  • Season the salmon: Season the salmon with salt, pepper, and other desired spices before grilling. This will help to enhance the flavor of the salmon.
  • Grill the salmon over medium heat: Grill the salmon over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through. The salmon is cooked through when it flakes easily with a fork.
  • Make the garlic mayonnaise: While the salmon is grilling, make the garlic mayonnaise. Simply combine mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the salmon with the garlic mayonnaise: Serve the grilled salmon with the garlic mayonnaise. The mayonnaise will add a creamy, tangy flavor to the salmon.
