Time 1h5m

1/2 c onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 c whole milk
1/2 c grated cheese
1 tsp red curry powder
tube(s) pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • 2. In a frying pan, brown sausage, onion and garlic together. Let cool in a bowl lined with paper towels to soak up grease.
  • 3. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk eggs with milk and curry powder. Add shredded cheese and stir.
  • 4. Once meat mixture is cooled to at least room temperature stir into egg mixture.
  • 5. Spray small ramekin baking dishes with olive oil cooking spray. Spoon egg and sausage mixture evenly between the ramekins until 3/4 full. Grind fresh pepper on top of each. Place all ramekins on a cooking sheet and place in the oven for 30 to 45 minutes or until toothpick stuck in the center comes out clean.

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Crust: You can use a pre-made crust or make your own. If making your own, use a recipe that results in a flaky, buttery crust.
  • Fresh Ingredients: Use the freshest ingredients possible for the best flavor. This includes fresh vegetables, herbs, and cheese.
  • Don't Overfill the Crust: The quiche should be filled to about 3/4 full. Overfilling the crust can result in a quiche that is too dense and soggy.
  • Bake at the Right Temperature: Bake the quiche at the temperature specified in the recipe. A too-high temperature can result in a quiche that is overcooked and dry, while a too-low temperature can result in a quiche that is undercooked and runny.
  • Let the Quiche Cool Before Serving: Let the quiche cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. This will allow the quiche to set and make it easier to slice.

Conclusion:

Quiche is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. With so many different variations, there is sure to be a quiche that everyone will enjoy. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced cook, these tips will help you make a perfect quiche every time.
