Tips:
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. A semisweet or bittersweet chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 60% is ideal.
- Be sure to cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This will help the cookies to be chewy and tender.
- Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will help the cookies to hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
- Bake the cookies until they are just set. Overbaking will make them dry and crumbly.
- Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack before storing them. This will help them to keep their shape and prevent them from becoming soggy.

Kathleen King's Double Chocolate Almond Cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion.
