This straight Kentucky sour mash bourbon marinade is perfect for grilling beef, chicken and pork. It's great for boneless chicken breasts, steaks, chops, smoked ribs, brisket or pork roast. Adding a little smoke with hickory, mesquite or apple wood compliments the flavor nicely.

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 10

3/4 c soy sauce
1/2 c bourbon
1/4 c canola oil
1/4 c worcestershire sauce
3 Tbsp ground black pepper
2 Tbsp light brown sugar
1 Tbsp spicy brown mustard
4 clove garlic , minced
1 Tbsp white pepper
1/2 tsp ground ginger

Steps:

  • 1. Whisk together all ingredients, add 1/4 cup water in bowl. Good with beef, pork or chicken. Makes about 2 cups.

Tips:

  • Choose the right bourbon: Not all bourbons are created equal. For a marinade, you'll want to choose a bourbon that is smooth and has a good flavor. Avoid bourbons that are too smoky or spicy.
  • Use a variety of spices: Don't just add bourbon to your marinade. Use a variety of spices to add flavor and depth. Some good options include garlic, onion, thyme, rosemary, and black pepper.
  • Marinate for at least 30 minutes: The longer you marinate your meat, the more flavor it will absorb. However, don't marinate for too long, or the meat will become tough.
  • Cook your meat over medium heat: When you cook your meat, be sure to cook it over medium heat. This will help to prevent the marinade from burning.

Conclusion:

Kentucky bourbon marinade is a delicious and easy way to add flavor to your meat. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a marinade that will make your meat taste amazing. So next time you're looking for a new way to cook your meat, give Kentucky bourbon marinade a try.
