LONDON FOG (MY LOW-COST, LOW-FAT VERSION)
The London Fog is a popular cafe tea made with Earl Grey Tea, steamed & frothed milk and vanilla syrup. I have neither the time nor the money to get all fancy but I love the taste, so I came up with this and a friend requested I post it. I steep my tea by the pot (in my coffee maker), but I'll break it down to one cup. Feel free to post comments. I have switched this recipe to skim milk but I have made it with skim milk powder. Most people don't care for powder but I live in the middle of nowhere and sometimes I run out of fresh and that's where the original recipe was created one day when I really needed a nice comfort bevvie on a cold winter day and if I add just enough vanilla & honey it helps to cut the taste of the powder :-) Blessings ♥

CUPCAKES, LOW-FAT VERSION
I love muffins, I tweaked an applesauce cake recipe and substituted an equal amount of applesauce for the vegetable oil and substituted an equal number of egg whites for whole eggs. This turned out to be a teacher's classroom favorite on Apple tasting day for my son.

MAMA LAINA'S CHICKEN GRAVY (REDUCED-FAT VERSION)
When my father had to go on a heart-healthy diet, he begged me to make a gravy that he can eat within his new diet restrictions. He can't stand how flavorless store-bought gravy can be, so i started to experiment. This recipe is the final result. Please enjoy!

Tips:
- Choosing the right tea: Opt for a high-quality, loose-leaf Earl Grey tea for the best flavor. You can also use other types of tea, such as black tea, green tea, or herbal tea, to create different variations of the drink.
- Using fresh ingredients: Fresh lemon juice and vanilla extract add a burst of flavor to the London Fog. Make sure to use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best results.
- Adjusting sweetness: The amount of honey or sugar you add to the London Fog is a matter of personal preference. Start with a small amount and adjust to taste.
- Creating a creamy texture: For a creamier London Fog, use frothed milk or steamed milk. You can froth milk at home using a milk frother or by heating it gently in a saucepan while whisking vigorously.
- Garnishing your London Fog: Adding a sprinkle of ground nutmeg or cinnamon on top of the drink adds a touch of warmth and spice.
Conclusion:
The London Fog is a delightful and comforting tea-based drink that can be enjoyed any time of day. With its combination of Earl Grey tea, steamed milk, vanilla, and honey, it offers a unique and flavorful experience. Whether you're looking for a cozy drink to warm you up on a cold day or a refreshing beverage to enjoy on a summer afternoon, the London Fog is sure to please.
