LUAU CHICKEN

This recipe was originally called "Chicken Delight" and came from my mother. I don't know where she got it from. I re-named it "Luau Chicken" for use at a Hawaiian themed party.

Time 1h25m

Yield 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

  • Depending on how many people you have, you can increase or decrease this recipe very easily.
  • Put the drummettes or wings or chicken pieces in a baking dish.

  • If you are making this for a few people, just use one bottle of dressing, one can of cranberries, and one envelope of onion soup mix.
  • Increase portions for more drummetes or wings.
  • Pour mix of dressing, cranberries and soup over the drummettes or wings, and bake at 350 for an hour and 15 minutes.

EASY CHICKEN LUAU

Easy Chicken Luau image

My friend served this at her son's birthday party and I immediately asked for the recipe. She gave it to me verbally and I was surprised by how simple it was! I had to post it so I wouldn't forget about it, since I don't have it on paper. Hope you enjoy! Everyone at the party loved it. Taro leaves are traditional in this recipe, but my friend made it with spinach and it was still delicious.

Tips:

  • Use boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs for the chicken sandwiches. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts are a leaner option, while boneless, skinless chicken thighs are more flavorful.
  • Pound the chicken breasts or thighs to an even thickness before cooking. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Season the chicken with a variety of spices, such as garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cumin. This will give them a delicious flavor.
  • Cook the chicken over medium heat until it is cooked through. Overcooking will make the chicken dry and tough.
  • Use a variety of toppings for the chicken sandwiches, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and avocado. You can also add a sauce, such as mayonnaise, ketchup, or barbecue sauce.
  • Serve the chicken sandwiches on a toasted bun. This will help to keep the sandwiches together and make them easier to eat.

Conclusion:

Luau chicken sandwiches are a delicious and easy-to-make meal. They are perfect for a summer cookout or a casual get-together. With a variety of toppings and sauces to choose from, there is a luau chicken sandwich for everyone to enjoy.
