MERINGUE TOPPING

Meringue Topping image

to keep the meringue from weeping, never add more than 2 tbls of sugar for each egg white, also the oven temperature for browning it should not be above 325*...the addition of cream of tartar also gives the whites stability..this makes enough meringue for 1--9" pie..

Tips for a Perfect Magic Meringue Topping:

- Ensure your egg whites are at room temperature. This will help them reach their full volume when whipped. - Use a clean, grease-free bowl and whisk. Any residue can prevent the egg whites from whipping properly. - Whip the egg whites gradually, starting at a low speed and increasing as they begin to foam. - Add the sugar slowly, a tablespoon at a time, while continuing to whip. This will help prevent the meringue from becoming grainy. - Continue whipping until the meringue is stiff and glossy, and forms soft peaks. - If you're using a flavored extract, add it towards the end of the whipping process. - Use the meringue immediately or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Magic meringue topping is a versatile and delicious addition to a variety of desserts. With its light and fluffy texture, and slightly sweet flavor, it can elevate any dish from simple to spectacular. Whether you're a seasoned baker or just starting out, this easy-to-make topping is sure to impress your friends and family.
