MAPLE OATMEAL BREAD

Maple Oatmeal Bread image

A slightly sweet dense bread that is great toasted and for sandwiches. I use thick organic oats. Just don't use the quick or instant. Use real maple syrup. Grade B has the most flavor. Thanks Blucoat, for the reference, I did not know where it was from - I got the recipe from a friend, who got it from another friend. Posted it because I thought it was a wonderful bread.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe apples for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh apples on hand, you can use unsweetened applesauce instead.
  • Be sure to peel and core the apples before grating them. This will help to prevent the bread from becoming too dense.
  • If you don't have maple syrup, you can use honey or brown sugar as a substitute.
  • You can add a variety of spices to this bread, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, or ginger. Experiment to find your favorite combination.
  • Be sure to grease and flour the loaf pan before baking the bread. This will help to prevent the bread from sticking.
  • Let the bread cool completely before slicing and serving. This will help to ensure that the bread is properly set.

Conclusion:

This maple and apple cider oatmeal bread is a delicious and easy-to-make bread that is perfect for fall. The bread is moist and flavorful, with a hint of maple and apple cider. It is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. Serve it with butter, jam, or your favorite spread. Enjoy!
