Tips:

  • Choose the right beef: Use a combination of ground beef and ground pork for a moist and flavorful meatloaf. If you prefer a leaner meatloaf, use ground turkey or chicken.
  • Don't overmix the meat: Overmixing the meat will make the meatloaf tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Use fresh bread crumbs: Fresh bread crumbs will help to keep the meatloaf moist. If you don't have fresh bread crumbs, you can use store-bought bread crumbs.
  • Add plenty of flavorings: Onion, garlic, eggs, and Worcestershire sauce are all classic meatloaf flavorings. You can also add other herbs and spices to your taste.
  • Cook the meatloaf at a low temperature: This will help to prevent the meatloaf from drying out. Bake the meatloaf at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the center reads 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the meatloaf rest before slicing: This will help the meatloaf to hold together when you slice it. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Conclusion:

Meatloaf pie is a delicious and hearty dish that is perfect for a family meal. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With a little planning, you can have a delicious meatloaf pie on the table in no time.
