Tips:

  • Choose the right meat. For kabobs, you want to use a meat that is tender and flavorful, such as sirloin, flank steak, or chicken breasts. Avoid meats that are too tough, such as brisket or chuck roast.
  • Cut the meat into uniform pieces. This will help ensure that the meat cooks evenly. The pieces should be about 1-inch thick and 2-inches long.
  • Marinate the meat. Marinating the meat will help to tenderize it and add flavor. You can use a variety of marinades, such as olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and herbs. Marinate the meat for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  • Skewer the meat. Use metal or wooden skewers to skewer the meat. If you are using wooden skewers, be sure to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before using, to prevent them from burning.
  • Grill the kabobs. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the kabobs for 10-15 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through. Be sure to turn the kabobs frequently, to prevent them from burning.
  • Serve the kabobs. Serve the kabobs hot, with your favorite dipping sauce. Some popular dipping sauces for kabobs include tzatziki sauce, hummus, and chimichurri sauce.
