MICROWAVE BROWNIE CAKE
Created this in a dorm room when all the mug cake recipes I found were terrible. It's super easy to make and to memorize, and if you only use one mug, a tablespoon measure, and a spoon, you have a lot fewer dishes to do. Easy to make in under 5 minutes with minimal mess, so enjoy! And never feel bad about eating the entire thing yourself.

Steps:
- Melt the butter in the bowl you want to make your brownie in. (Ensure your bowl is microwave proof!) It takes about 20 seconds on full power in most microwaves.
- Mix the sugar into the melted butter, and then whisk in the egg ensuring it is fully combined. Add in the cocoa powder, self raising flour and baking powder and mix until fully combined.
- Bake in the microwave on full power, checking every 30 seconds, for about two minutes. The middle should still appear slightly gooey on top to prevent the brownie being dry. Leave to stand for a couple more minutes until cooler and the top appears less sticky. Best served with vanilla ice cream
Tips:
- For a richer brownie cake, use high-quality chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
- Be precise with your measurements, as the ratios of ingredients are crucial for the texture and flavor of the brownie cake.
- Do not overmix the batter, as this can result in a tough brownie cake.
- Use a microwave-safe baking dish that is at least 8 inches square.
- Cook the brownie cake on high power for the first minute, then reduce the power to medium and continue cooking until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached.
- Allow the brownie cake to cool completely before cutting it into squares.
- Serve the brownie cake warm or at room temperature, topped with your favorite ice cream or whipped cream.
Conclusion:
Microwave brownie cake is a quick and easy dessert that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With its rich chocolate flavor and fudgy texture, this cake is sure to be a hit at any gathering. Whether you are a seasoned baker or a beginner in the kitchen, this recipe is a great option for a delicious and satisfying dessert.
