600 g beef mince
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 carrot, grated
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup plum sauce
2 teaspoons vegemite
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Combine mince with the next 8 ingredients and mix thoroughly. Press into a greased and base lined 9cm × 18cm loaf tin.
  • Bake at 190°C for 45 minutes. Top with the grated cheese and cook a further 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is golden.
  • Remove from the pan and stand 2-3 minutes before slicing. Serve immediately.

1 pound ground beef
1 (12 ounce) package bulk pork breakfast sausage
6 fresh mushrooms, chopped
1 red onion, chopped
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
½ cup instant oatmeal
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
4 strips bacon

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
