Tips:

  • Use old-fashioned oats. Quick-cooking oats will make the cake too dense.
  • Grind the oats into a fine flour. This will help the cake to be light and fluffy.
  • Use buttermilk instead of milk. Buttermilk will give the cake a tangy flavor and help it to be moist.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will make the cake tough.
  • Bake the cake in a greased and floured bundt pan. This will help the cake to have a beautiful shape and to be easy to remove from the pan.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting it. This will help the frosting to set properly.
  • Store the cake at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the cake for up to 2 months.

Conclusion:

Oatmeal cake is a delicious and easy-to-make cake that is perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a snack. It is also a great way to use up leftover oats. With its moist texture, tangy flavor, and beautiful presentation, oatmeal cake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
