1/2 cup(s) vegetable oil
1 - egg

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix all ingredients until well combined. This will be thick.
  • When well mixed drop by teaspoon full on cookie sheet two inches apart.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until center comes clean with a toothpick.
  • Drizzle with glaze. To make glaze you need: 1/2 stick butter, melted 2 cups powder sugar 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 3-4 Tablespoons evaporated milk Mix the butter, powder sugar and vanilla, add milk a little at a time until glaze consistancy. Pour into a zip lock baggie. Snip small hole in bottom corner of bag and drizzle over cooled cookies.

Tips:

- For the best results, use fresh oranges. They will give your cookies a brighter flavor and aroma. - If you don't have an orange zester, you can use a fine grater. Just be careful not to grate too much of the white pith, as it can be bitter. - The dough will be very soft, so be careful not to overmix it. Otherwise, your cookies will be tough. - Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much. - Bake the cookies until they are just set in the center. They should be slightly soft to the touch. If you overbake them, they will be dry and crumbly. - Let the cookies cool completely before frosting them. This will help the frosting set properly.

Conclusion:

Orange Dream Cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. With their bright citrus flavor and creamy frosting, they are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you're looking for a sweet and satisfying snack, give these cookies a try.
