Tips:

  • Choose the right apples: Use firm, tart apples that will hold their shape when baked, such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Braeburn.
  • Peel and slice the apples thinly: This will help them cook evenly.
  • Add some spices: Cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger are classic spices for apple pie, but you can also experiment with other spices like cardamom, cloves, or allspice.
  • Don't overfill the paper wrappers: Leave some room for the filling to expand as it bakes.
  • Bake the pies until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling: This usually takes about 30 minutes.
  • Let the pies cool for a few minutes before serving: This will help the filling set.

Conclusion:

Paper-wrapped apple pie is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a dessert that is sure to impress your friends and family. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy dessert, give paper-wrapped apple pie a try.
