2 slices white bread
1 teaspoon peanut butter
2 teaspoons any flavor fruit jelly

Steps:

  • Heat griddle or skillet to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Spread peanut butter on unbuttered side of one slice of bread, and jelly on the other. Place one slice, buttered side down on the griddle. Top with other slice, so that peanut butter and jelly are in the middle. Cook for 4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown, and heated through.

3 to 4 pounds boneless pork shoulder butt roast
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) reduced-sodium chicken broth
1 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup apricot preserves
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup cider vinegar
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons butter, melted
6 ciabatta rolls, split
Coleslaw, optional

Steps:

  • Sprinkle roast with salt and pepper; transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker. In a large bowl, whisk broth, peanut butter, preserves, brown sugar, onion, vinegar, mustard and garlic; pour over meat. Cook, covered, on low 6-8 hours or until meat is tender., Preheat broiler. Remove roast; cool slightly. Shred pork with 2 forks. Return pork to slow cooker; heat through. Brush butter over cut sides of rolls. Place rolls, buttered side up, on an ungreased baking sheet. Broil 3-4 in. from heat 30-60 seconds or until golden brown. Using a slotted spoon, spoon pork mixture onto roll bottoms; top with coleslaw if desired. Replace tops.

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
3 tablespoons mascarpone, at room temperature
2 teaspoons honey
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
20 thin slices pound cake (from one 10.75-ounce cake)
10 teaspoons grape jelly or your favorite jam

Steps:

  • Combine the peanut butter, mascarpone, honey and vanilla extract in a medium bowl. Using a rubber spatula, mix everything together until smooth and evenly combined.

Yield Makes 6 large sandwiches. (Enough for 12 servings.)

Number Of Ingredients 15

10 large eggs
1 pint heavy cream
1 teaspoon cinnamon
a pinch of nutmeg
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 loaf brioche bread- double thick cut into 12 slices
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup strawberry jam
6 tablespoons butter
6 scoops banana ice cream
1 cup chocolate syrup
1 pint strawberries
6 cherries
1 pint whipped cream

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300°F.
  • Mix heavy cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, vanilla, and eggs together and set aside.
  • Make sandwiches using bread, peanut butter and jam and soak in above mixture for 30 minutes. Turn the sandwiches over after 15 minutes to allow for even absorbtion of the cream mixture. Take 1 tablespoon of butter and add to hot skillet. When butter is melted add one sandwich. Sauté for 5 minutes on each side. Repeat with rest of sandwiches. Take all sandwiches and place in oven for 5 minutes.
  • Place a sandwich on a plate and top with one scoop of ice cream, and dollop of whipped cream. Drizzle chocolate sauce around plate and places strawberries and cherry on top.

  • If your fruit is not ripe, you can soften it by microwaving it for a few seconds.
