Steps:
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix together margarine, sugar, soda, oatmeal, flour and salt. Set aside about one cup of mixture and press the rest into a greased 9x13 pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Mix together peanut butter and sweetened condensed milk and spread over baked crust. (I actually microwaved this for 30 seconds so it made it easy to pour/spread).
- Then evenly sprinkle rest of original mixture over that.
- Bake for another 12-15 minutes.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and bake another 5 minutes. (I happened to actually have milk chocolate chips on hand because I sent the kids to the store earlier for chocolate chips, not mentioning that I wanted semi-sweet.)
- Since I didn't have the peanut butter cups to add like the other recipe called for, I wish I would've added more chocolate chips, maybe even some semi-sweet ones, because I think it could've used a tad more chocolate. Or maybe that's just me. :)

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13-inch pan with tin foil and spray with Pam. In a medium mixing bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, soda, oatmeal, flour & salt until it becomes a crumbly texture and set aside a little more than 1 cups worth of the crust mixture. Press the remaining crust into your prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes. While the crust is cooking, in a small bowl, stir the peanut butter and sweetened condensed milk together. Once the crust has baked, pour and spread peanut butter filling over the baked crust in an even layer. Be careful not to pull up the warm crust while spreading your mixture. Evenly sprinkle the reserved crumbs on top of the peanut butter and sweetened condensed milk mix. Bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove from oven and sprinkle the chopped candy bars and chocolate chips on top. Return to the oven and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes or until topping is light golden brown and the chocolate chips and bars are melting. Allow to cool before cutting and serving. Enjoy!

Tips:
- For a chewier texture, use old-fashioned oats instead of quick oats.
- If you don't have peanut butter, you can substitute another nut butter, such as almond butter or cashew butter.
- To make the bars even more decadent, add a layer of chocolate chips or chopped nuts before baking.
- Be sure to let the bars cool completely before cutting them into squares. This will help them hold their shape.
- Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

These peanut butter and oatmeal dream bars are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. They're also a great way to use up leftover oats and peanut butter. So next time you're looking for a sweet and satisfying snack, give these bars a try!
