PEANUT BUTTER KRISPIES
This recipe was handed down from my great-grandmother. I'm not sure when traditional marshmallow krispie treats came on the scene, but this recipe could have preceded it! These are what I grew up on. I do not like marshmallows, so I find this recipe to be perfect. You can also top with melted chocolate if you like. Original recipe calls for 1 cup sugar, but I found it to be too sweet, so I cut it in half. You may wish to add more.

Tips:
- Choose the right peanut butter. Not all peanut butter is created equal. Make sure to choose a peanut butter that is made with 100% peanuts and does not contain any added ingredients, such as sugar, salt, or xylitol.
- Use fresh ingredients. Fresh ingredients will give your dog treats the best flavor and texture. Avoid using any ingredients that are past their prime.
- Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing the dough will make the treats tough. Mix the dough just until it comes together.
- Chill the dough before baking. Chilling the dough will help the treats hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much in the oven.
- Bake the treats until they are golden brown. The treats should be baked until they are golden brown and firm to the touch. Avoid overbaking the treats, as this will make them dry and crumbly.
- Let the treats cool completely before serving. Allow the treats to cool completely before serving them to your dog. This will help prevent your dog from burning their mouth.
- Store the treats in an airtight container. Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.
Conclusion:
Peanut butter Krispie treats are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that your dog will love. Made with just a few simple ingredients, these treats are a great way to show your furry friend how much you care. Just be sure to follow the tips above to ensure that your treats turn out perfect.
