1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup shortening
3 to 4 tablespoons cold water
FILLING:
3 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
4-1/2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup light corn syrup
1 tablespoon butter, melted and cooled
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
3/4 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt; cut in shortening until crumbly. Gradually add cold water, tossing with a fork until dough begins to cling together.
