1 (18 1/4 ounce) box butter pecan cake mix
1 egg
vegetable oil
water
1/2 cup chopped fresh pecans

Steps:

  • Pour cake mix into a large bowl. Whisk dry mix to remove lumps or sift it into the bowl.
  • Add pecans to the dry cake mix and stir well.
  • In a liquid measuring cup, add the egg. Add enough oil to the egg to bring the mixture to 1/2 cup. Add enough water to bring the mixture to 2/3 cup. Beat mixture together with a fork.

1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup toffee pieces
3/4 cup pecans, chopped
1 cup butter, softened
2 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Wash and thoroughly dry a 1-quart wide-mouth canning jar.

1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup white sugar
1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups chopped pecans
½ cup white sugar for decoration

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the margarine, vegetable oil, 1 cup white sugar and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
