Tips:

  • Use ripe pineapples for the best flavor. You can tell a pineapple is ripe when it is slightly soft to the touch and has a sweet smell.
  • If you don't have fresh pineapple, you can use canned pineapple. Just be sure to drain it well before using.
  • You can use a variety of different crusts for your pineapple pie. A graham cracker crust is a classic choice, but you can also use a puff pastry crust or a shortbread crust.
  • Be sure to pre-bake your crust before filling it. This will help to prevent the crust from becoming soggy.
  • Let your pie cool completely before serving. This will help the filling to set and the flavors to develop.
