Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use ripe plums. If your plums are not ripe, you can speed up the ripening process by placing them in a paper bag with a banana for a few days.
  • If you don't have plum jelly, you can make your own by simmering 2 cups of chopped plums with 1 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of lemon juice until the mixture has thickened.
  • To make the pork kabobs more flavorful, marinate them in the plum glaze for at least 30 minutes before grilling.
  • If you are using wooden skewers, be sure to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent them from burning.
  • Cook the pork kabobs over medium heat to prevent them from drying out.
