Tips:

  • Choose high-quality pork medallions: Look for medallions that are evenly thick and have a good amount of marbling. This will ensure that they cook evenly and stay juicy.
  • Season the medallions well: Don't be afraid to be generous with the salt and pepper. You can also add other spices, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika, to taste.
  • Sear the medallions over high heat: This will create a nice crust on the outside of the medallions while keeping the inside juicy.
  • Reduce the heat and cook the medallions until they reach your desired doneness: For medium-rare, cook the medallions for about 3-4 minutes per side. For medium, cook the medallions for about 4-5 minutes per side. For medium-well, cook the medallions for about 5-6 minutes per side.
  • Let the medallions rest before serving: This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful dish.
  • Serve the medallions with your favorite sides: Some popular options include roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice.

Conclusion:

Pork medallions with balsamic vinegar and capers is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a special occasion or a weeknight meal.
