Time 2h5m

Yield 5 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
1 (1 ounce) package dry ranch dressing mix
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1.5 (15 ounce) packages small pretzels

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together cayenne pepper, lemon pepper, garlic salt, dressing mix and vegetable oil.
  • Place pretzels in a large, sealable plastic bag (or I use a large bowl with a fitted lid). Pour mixture into bag. Shake well. Allow pretzels to marinate in mixture 2 hours before serving. Shake occasionally to maintain coating. (If you want, you can spread pretzels on a cookie sheet and bake them at 250 degrees for 20-30 minutes.).

Tips:

  • Use a sharp knife to cut the cheese into even slices. This will help ensure that the cheese melts evenly and doesn't tear the pretzel crust.
  • If you don't have any pretzels on hand, you can use crushed crackers or bread crumbs as a coating.
  • Be sure to preheat the oil before frying the cheese. This will help prevent the cheese from sticking to the pan.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when frying the cheese. This will cause the oil temperature to drop and the cheese will not cook evenly.
  • Serve the fried cheese immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Conclusion:

These pretzel-crusted fried cheese bites are a delicious and easy appetizer that is perfect for any party or gathering. They are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you're looking for a fun and tasty snack, give these fried cheese bites a try. You won't be disappointed!
