Stir in the pretzel pieces, nuts and M&M's. Stir will with a flexible spatula.
- 3. Spoon onto the prepared cookie sheet, spreading the mixure out so that the ingredients are relatively evenly distributed. Allow bark to cool for several hours or refigerate for about 45 minutes, until firm.
- 4. Break the bark into irregular pieces, like peanut brittle. Store in cookie tins, or package in Chinese food take-out cartons lined with waxed paper
Tips:
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate or semisweet chocolate instead of milk chocolate.
- To make the bark even more decadent, add chopped nuts, dried fruit, or peanut butter chips.
- If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can test the temperature of the chocolate by dropping a small amount into a glass of cold water. If the chocolate hardens immediately, it is ready to use.
- Be careful not to overcook the chocolate, or it will become grainy and difficult to work with.
