HOMEMADE DOG TREATS (TANGO'S TREATS)
My dogs--especially my puppy, Tango Foxtrot--loved carrots, apples, and peanut butter. So, for his first birthday, I combined Tango's favorite flavors into a special treat just for him. Make sure to use a natural peanut butter that does not contain added salt, sugar, or other ingredients. Keep extra treats stored in the fridge.

Tips:
- Choose simple ingredients: Avoid recipes with a long list of ingredients. Simple recipes with fresh, wholesome ingredients are best for your dog.
- Make sure the treats are the right size: Treats should be small enough for your dog to eat in one or two bites. This will help prevent choking.
- Bake or dehydrate the treats: Baking or dehydrating the treats will help them last longer. Baked treats can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. Dehydrated treats can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to six months.
- Introduce new treats slowly: Start by giving your dog a small amount of the new treat to see how they react. If they have no adverse reaction, you can gradually increase the amount you give them.
- Use treats sparingly: Treats should be used as a occasional reward, not a regular part of your dog's diet. Too many treats can lead to weight gain and other health problems.
Conclusion:
Making homemade dog treats is a great way to show your furry friend how much you care. With a little time and effort, you can create delicious and healthy treats that your dog will love. Just be sure to follow the tips above to ensure that the treats are safe and healthy for your pet.
