1 (8 ounce) jar salsa
2 cups water

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef & onion. Drain.
  • Add chili powder & cumin, stir 1 minute.
  • Put tomatoes, beans and salsa in a large pot.
  • Add ground beef mixture.
  • Bring to a boil then simmer 25 minutes.

Saute garlic, onion, green pepper, and spices in olive oil until onion is transkucent, about five minutes. if using meat, I add it in now and cook until done. Add in remaining ingredients and heat. Serve over cooked rice. I add in tomatoe sauce if adding in meat. I also add rice in directly to chili and use tomatoe sauce to thin chili. Top with grated cheese and sour cream. Salt and Pepper to taste.
