Time 20m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 (9 ounce) packages ravioli, uncooked cheese-filled refrigerated
16 ounces alfredo sauce
1/4 cup milk
6 slices bacon, diced, cooked and drained
2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves, snipped
ground black pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Cook ravioli according to package directions in 6 qt dutch oven. drain in large colander. Return ravioli to dutch oven; keep warm.
  • Heat pasta sauce and milk in 2 quart saucepan over medium heat until heated through, stirring occassionally. Pour sauce over ravioli. Add bacon and basil; stir gently. Season to taste with black pepper. Serve immediately.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh pasta, vegetables, and herbs will make a big difference in the flavor of your ravioli carbonara.
  • Don't overcook the pasta: Ravioli is best when it is cooked al dente, or slightly firm to the bite.
  • Use a good quality pancetta: Pancetta is the key ingredient in carbonara sauce, so it's important to use a good quality variety. Look for pancetta that is well-marbled and has a deep red color.
  • Don't add the cheese and egg mixture to the hot pasta: This will cause the eggs to scramble and the sauce to become grainy. Instead, remove the pasta from the heat and then stir in the cheese and egg mixture.
  • Serve immediately: Ravioli carbonara is best enjoyed immediately after it is made.

Conclusion:

Ravioli carbonara is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. With a few simple tips, you can make sure that your ravioli carbonara turns out perfectly every time.
