SAUSAGE AND VEGETABLE BAKE

Sausage and Vegetable Bake image

I make this dish throughout the year - I just change the veggies with the seasons. The number of servings grows very quickly - depending on how many veggies you toss in. Don't forget to include good bread with the meal to sop up the juices (yum!) Note: You can substitute bottled Italian dressing. I prefer the salad dressing listed.

Tips:

  • Select high-quality sausage: Opt for fresh, flavorful sausage that is made with quality ingredients. This will greatly enhance the overall taste of your dish.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: Don't limit yourself to just a few veggies. Incorporate a mix of colorful and flavorful vegetables such as bell peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, and carrots. This will add texture, color, and nutrients to your bake.
  • Season generously: Don't be afraid to season your dish well. Use a combination of herbs, spices, and salt and pepper to create a flavorful and aromatic bake.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When assembling your bake, make sure not to overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the vegetables from cooking evenly and may result in a soggy dish.
  • Bake until golden brown: Keep an eye on your bake towards the end of the cooking time. You want the sausage to be cooked through and the vegetables to be tender, with a slightly caramelized appearance.
