Tips:

  • Choose fresh, tender green beans. Look for beans that are bright green in color and have no blemishes. Avoid beans that are yellowed or wilted.
  • Trim the green beans. Remove the ends of the beans and any strings that run along the sides.
  • Blanch the green beans. This will help to preserve their color and crunch. To blanch the beans, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the beans and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they are bright green and tender. Drain the beans and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
  • Sauté the green beans. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil and garlic and cook until the garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the green beans and cook, stirring frequently, until they are heated through, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the green beans immediately. They can be served as a side dish or as part of a main course.

Conclusion:

Sautéed garden-fresh green beans are a delicious, healthy, and easy side dish. They are perfect for any occasion, from a weeknight dinner to a special holiday meal. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a dish that is sure to please everyone at the table.
