1 1/2 cups diced yellow onion (2 onions)
2 teaspoons peeled, minced fresh ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 ripe mangos, peeled, seeded, and small diced

I am guessing on times as I haven't had a chance to make this yet since we still have several feet of snow on!!! (Doesn't include marinating time.) **Made this last night on the griddle pan on the stovetop. Loved it and can't wait to try this on the charcoal grill... Light, filling and flavorful!

Tips:

  • For the best results, use fresh, high-quality tuna steaks. Look for steaks that are firm to the touch and have a deep red color.
  • To prevent the tuna from sticking to the pan, make sure the pan is hot before adding the steaks. You can also brush the steaks with oil before cooking.
  • Sear the tuna steaks for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are cooked to your desired doneness. For a rare steak, cook for 2 minutes per side. For a medium-rare steak, cook for 2 1/2 minutes per side. For a medium steak, cook for 3 minutes per side.
  • Let the tuna steaks rest for a few minutes before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, resulting in a more tender and flavorful bite.
  • Serve the tuna steaks with your favorite sides, such as mango salsa, rice, or roasted vegetables.

Conclusion:

Seared tuna steak with mango salsa is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a summer meal. The tuna is cooked to perfection and the mango salsa adds a refreshing and flavorful touch. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
