SHOT GLASS CREAM CHEESE DESSERT

Shot Glass Cream Cheese Dessert image

I made this dessert when I wanted to make something small and sweet for dessert. All I had in the house was cream cheese and chocolate chips, and thus the Shot Glass Cream Cheese Dessert was born. It is so simple and can be whipped up in an instant. You can substitute crushed graham crackers instead of mini chocolate chips if you'd like more of a crust.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients. Fresh cream cheese, sour cream, and heavy cream will give you the best results.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature before using. This will make it easier to mix and will help to prevent lumps.
  • Be careful not to overbeat the mixture. Overbeating can cause the cream cheese to become grainy.
  • If you are using a food processor to make the mixture, be sure to pulse it only until the ingredients are combined. Do not overprocess.
  • Chill the mixture for at least 4 hours before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and will help the mixture to set.
  • Garnish the desserts with fresh fruit, chocolate shavings, or nuts before serving.
