1 small baking apple, peeled, cored and diced very small (can use about 1/3 c applesauce instead)

4 tablespoons butter, melted
salt, if needed, to taste

  • Place pork loin in crock pot. Sprinkle with caraway seeds and black pepper.

1 Granny Smith apple, chopped

2 lbs boneless smoked pork shoulder (also called "sweet morsel")
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
2 medium onions, sliced
1 (8 ounce) can tomatoes, cut up
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons caraway seeds
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup cold water
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup sour cream (optional)

Steps:
