SNICKERS BAR COOKIES

Categories     Cookies     Dessert

Yield 60 cookies

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup (packed) brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
60 Snickers miniatures
Glaze:
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 tbsp milk (more as needed)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. In a large bowl, combine butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar. Beat until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. 3. Sift together flour, baking powder and baking soda; add to the peanut butter mixture, beating until well combined. 4. Shape about 1 1/2 Tbsp dough into a 2 1/2" circle in one hand. Put a Snickers piece in the center, fold the dough around it, then roll in your hands to form a ball completely enclosing the candy. 5. Put balls about 4" apart on a baking sheet. BAke 10-12 minutes, until lightly browned. Cool on a rack. 6. Once cool, combine powdered sugar and cocoa, then stir in milk until thin enough to drizzle. Drizzle over cooled cookies.

Tips:

  • Chill the dough: Chilling the dough before baking helps the cookies to hold their shape and prevents them from spreading too much.
  • Use a silicone baking mat: A silicone baking mat helps to prevent the cookies from sticking to the baking sheet and makes cleanup easier.
  • Bake the cookies until they are just set: The cookies should be slightly soft in the center when you take them out of the oven. They will continue to cook as they cool.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before storing them: The cookies need to cool completely before you store them, otherwise they will become soft and sticky.
  • Store the cookies in an airtight container: The cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Conclusion:

These Snickers cookies are the perfect treat for any chocolate lover. They are chewy, chocolatey, and packed with peanut butter and caramel. They are sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering. With a few simple tips, you can make sure that your Snickers cookies turn out perfectly every time.
