4 teaspoons dried minced onion
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon dried minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
6 bone-in pork loin chops (about 3/4 inch thick and 7 ounces each)
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the first eight ingredients; rub over pork chops. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine barbecue sauce and lemon juice; add pork chops. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 1-2 hours., Discard marinade. Moisten a paper towel with cooking oil; using long-handled tongs, lightly coat the grill rack. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon salt

8 pork loin or rib chops, 1/2 inch thick (2 1/2 pounds)

Steps:

2/3 cup salsa
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, minced
6 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup red onion, minced
4 teaspoons lime zest
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (to taste)
6 boneless pork loin chops
1 avocado, chopped

Steps:

3 teaspoons southwestern seasoning mix
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
2 teaspoons butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon lime juice
2 ears frozen corn-on-the-cob

  • Heat gas or charcoal grill for indirect cooking as directed by manufacturer. Sprinkle pork chops with 2 teaspoons of the seasoning mix. Let stand at room temperature no more than 5 minutes.
