Tips:
- For the best results, use a starchy potato variety like Russet or Idaho potatoes. They hold their shape well and become crispy when fried.
- Cut the potatoes into uniform-sized pieces so that they cook evenly.
- Soak the potato pieces in cold water for at least 30 minutes before frying. This will help to remove the starch and prevent them from sticking together.
- Season the potato pieces with salt, pepper, and other spices before frying. This will help to give them flavor.
- Fry the potato pieces in hot oil until they are golden brown and crispy. Be sure to not overcrowd the pan, or the potatoes will not cook evenly.
- Drain the potato pieces on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve the potato pieces immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
